Quann-tum of Solace.. see what I did there?

Howdy all. It's been a while.


One word. Awesome.

Anyhoo...

On Wednesday, I saw with a group of mates, Quantum of Solace. The new James Bond film. And I was well... disappointed.

The film for me anyway, it was confusing.

***SPOILERS*** (Highlight to read)

Well, there is a unknown organization that I have no idea what they are trying to do.

Some guy called Greene who wants to build a pipeline down some desert somewhere but not for oil... guess what it's for...water. WTF? Oil is more valuable then water! Whats he going to do sell it in bottles? Wow.

Bond drives a hydrogen powered car. Please for the love of god, dont force feed Global Warming down my throat. It make me want to ignore it even more.

Oh and this organization doesn't get mentioned until after halfway through the flim. And never heard from again.

Well, after that rubbish. The pace of the film is way too fast. Things are happening for quickly you have know clue what the hell is going on.

The soundtrack if horrible. See what I mean...


And the classic 007 theme doesn't play until the end of the film... WHY?

Everytime Bond went to a different country this text appeared on screen that just got annoying by the end of the flim and looks like it was done on windows movie maker. Just put it at the bottom of the screen for christs sake.

However...The fight scenes are...AWESOME. And the visual effects are superb. But all I can think that is good.

I spoke to my mates after and they said it was "S***". I wouldn't go that far. It has it's moments.

So, basically, if you enjoy James Bond films. Don't watch this one. Casino Royale is 100% better then this.

I'll rate it - 2/5. It was a huge disappointment.

Thinking about it now, it's a follow up of Casino Royale. This is like what The Clone Wars (II) was to Star Wars. It was just there. Linking the rest of the franchise, like a chain. Meh.

McCain and Pie.

Howdy. Ok, I'm not a American citizen, so dont bash me for saying this. Last night I saw John McCain talk about Brack Obama (who is god, btw.) saying that Obama is "more interested in controlling who gets your piece of pie than in growing the pie.

I get the reference to socialism (and I am in no way defending the political ideology) but...WTF?

How do you grow a pie? What do you get a pie seed and plant it in your garden (backyard) and then in a after year there will be a pie tree?

He really didn't think that one through didn't he?

TNA...Total Nonstop....(insert something bad here.)

Well, since I am a co-host of a wrestling vlog. I have decided that the first thing I will talk about is TNA.

I have the chance to go to a UK event in London. Cool, right? Wrong.
I have no idea whether or not to go, as I will explain in this blog entry.

Ok, fyi, TNA is a wrestling company in the god ol' US of A that are the number two (in theory) in the world right now.

However there are so many problems with this promotion. Now, not to seem too biased I am going to try and explain the good points and bad points about TNA. Ok then:

Good

The wrestling that takes place is awesome. What I mean is the high flying moves and the actual matches are great.

The roster is incredible.. They should be doing great storylines and matches with who they have. But they dont...

They have a women's division that people care about. It's not all just TNA and i'm not talking about the company...

Bad

STUPID STORYLINES THAT MAKE LITTLE SENSE THAT INSULT MY AND THE VIEWERS INTELLIGENCE.

The Commentary team never EVER stop talking and never let the actions speak louder then words. Plus Tenay and West call every minor detail as if the viewers dont know what is going on!

No one has any celebration time after matches - "To the back!11!!!" I am all for interviews and promos but if it overlaps with anything else and harms the overness and popularity of that storyline and characters then it's pointless. You might as well have Bill Cosby talking about Pokemon and jello pudding.

Stupid gimmick Matches like this:

Well, I've finally decided to get a blog. Since everybody and their pets seem to have one these days I might as well jump on the band wagon.
